Left Hand Drive cars and vehicles of all descriptions are currently being offered for sale from a wide variety of outlets in Europe, including the UK. 

This on the face of it would appear strange as cars from the UK with their steering on the right hand side use the other side of the road which should create a need for rhd drive vehicles. 

One of the reasons behind this is because of the diverse cultures now living in the UK who originate from foreign countries in Europe and other countries from around the world.

They bring their LHD cars with them, to use as transport whilst settling in the UK.

After a few months these cars are supposed to be UK registered to enable their continued use in the United Kingdom.  Some people cannot be bothered with this for one reason or another. 

They also discover that there is a very strong market for these cars in the United Kingdom. 

They can often sell their car and buy a rhd car at a considerably cheaper price.

Some sell their left hand drive to specialist car companies, still on the original registration plates of the country they have emigrated from.

Others sell their import themselves.  One well chosen  media for selling left hand drive is eBay.  Once the car is listed, it will be seen by hundreds, if not thousands of potential buyers from all over the world. 

Bidding for certain more unusual and less common lhd can be fierce with many people bidding with the intention of buying the car. 

Four by fours are especially sought after as are the more luxurious left hand drive vehicles.  Land Rovers especially the Defender model, with their world wide appeal have been known to achieve significantly higher prices than the rhd versions when offered for sale on online car auction sites. 

Unfortunately this means that if you are buying a leftdrive vehicle, unless you are really lucky, then there are few bargains to be found. 

Checking out the local printed media especially the Freeads is sometimes a great source of cheaper cars.

Once they are offered for sale online, the wide audience of eager buyers wipes out the chance of a snip buy.

However if you are in the fortunate situation of selling a vehicle with the steering on the left, then you are in a especially strong position to realise good money from the sale of your car.
